Race Day doesn’t happen without the many individuals and groups that volunteer their time so that you will have a great race experience!  We welcome all the volunteers we can get!

If you would like to volunteer at a Silver Comet Race, please send the following information to us:

• Which race are you volunteering for?  Half Marathon October 31, 2009
• What time are you available to volunteer?  Volunteers are needed from 5:00am until approximately 12:00pm on the day of each race.  (End times may be earlier than noon)
• Which position/ volunteer job would you prefer, if any?  We need volunteers in several general areas – Please let us know if you prefer a specific area or if we may assign your position on race day as needed.

The options are:  Number Pick Up  /  Pre-Race  /  Start Line   /  Finish Line  /  Water Stops  / Traffic  /  Parking  /  Finish Line  / Celebration Area – Distribution of T-Shirt, Food, Drink, Awards

If  you send an e-mail to volunteer  – please assume we are counting on you and adding you in the volunteer position requested.

If you would like to bring a group (15 to 30 volunteers required) in exhange for donations to your non-profit organization, booster club or PTA, please contact Dana directly at gardenrunner@mindspring.com to discuss the options and requirements.

The volunteer coordinator will be in contact with you just before the race to verify your positions, check in procedures, times and duties.  We thank you in advance for making the Silver Comet Races so awesome!
